Sura 26 Ash-Shu'ara' (The Poets)

1. وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ

   And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life

   26:81

2. وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ

   And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."

   26:82

3. رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ

   (And he said), "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.

   26:83

4. وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ

   And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.

   26:84

5. وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ

   And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.

   26:85

6. وَاغْفِرْ لِأَبِي إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ

   And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.

   26:86

7. وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ

   And do not disgrace me on the Day they are (all) resurrected -

   26:87

8. يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ

   The Day when there will not benefit (anyone) wealth or children

   26:88

9. إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ

   But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."

   26:89

10. وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

    And Paradise will be brought near (that Day) to the righteous.

    26:90

11. وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ

    And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators,

    26:91

12. وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

    And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship

    26:92

13. مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنْصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ

    Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?"

    26:93

14. فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوُونَ

    So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators

    26:94

15. وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ

    And the soldiers of Iblees, all together.

    26:95

16. قَالُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ

    They will say while they dispute therein,

    26:96

17. تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ

    By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error

    26:97

18. إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

    When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.

    26:98

19. وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُونَ

    And no one misguided us except the criminals.

    26:99

20. فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شَافِعِينَ

    So now we have no intercessors
